#12 Why your Kajabi site isn't the problem (and what actually is)
I speak to a lot of coaches who are frustrated with their Kajabi site. It's not converting. Leads aren't coming in. Sales feel inconsistent and the assumption, almost every time, is that something is wrong with the platform.
So they tinker. They redesign the homepage. They change the colours. They try a different template. They add a new offer. Sometimes they switch platforms altogether.
And then the same thing happens on the new one.
Kajabi is rarely the problem. What's underneath it usually is.
The real culprits
When I start working with someone, I'm not looking at their platform first. I'm looking at three things:
- The offer. Is it clear? Is the transformation specific enough for someone to say yes to it? Is the price positioned in a way that reflects the value, or is it undermining confidence before anyone even gets to the sales page?
- The journey. Where does someone come in, and what happens next? Are there gaps where leads are dropping off? Is the funnel actually mapped end to end, or are there gaps people are falling through without you realising?
- The strategy. Is there a logical path from first contact to sale, or is the marketing disconnected from the offer, the offer disconnected from the tech, and nobody quite sure where the problem starts?
Once those three things are clear, the tech becomes straightforward. Kajabi is a very capable platform. When it looks like it's failing you, it's almost always being asked to do something that hasn't been properly thought through yet.
What this means in practice
Fixing a Kajabi site without diagnosing what's underneath it is like redecorating a house with a damp problem. It looks better for a while, but the issue is still there.
The coaches who see real results aren't the ones who find the perfect template. They're the ones who get clear on what's broken in the strategy first, then use the tech to execute it properly.
That's the order that works. Strategy first. Tech second.
If you're not sure which part of your setup is the real issue, that's exactly what The Complete Kajabi Site Audit is for. It finds the leak before you spend any more time or money on fixes that won't hold.
